Brambleberry Bed and Breakfast (Taylor): Named by the Department of Tourism as one of Wisconsin's Top 5 Eco-Elegant Inns for its winning combination of high quality lodging and a commitment to our natural resources. Recycling, water and energy conservation, use of renewable heating fuel and our organic gardening and farming methods are all part of why the inn has earned this designation. Brambleberry has become well-known for its unique harvest dinners -- the majority grown on-site -- and utilizing some local meats. We're the only bed and breakfast in Wisconsin to offer such a meal.
Franklin Inn on Durkee (Appleton): applies a number of energy-saving practices, including lights on timers or motion sensors, the use of compact fluorescent bulbs, solar-powered landscape lights, rain barrels, composting, environmentally-friendly cleaning and laundry, refillable soap dispensers, renewable resources for bedding, linen and towels (cotton and bamboo), cloth napkins and local in-season produce for guests.
